On this day the temperature was 105 degrees. This was the first of four paintings I made for the event. This painting won a 2nd place in the exhibition as well as sold.

This painting called Corner Store was made from the same location but with a turn toward the northwest ( left )
Only two could be entered into the event so I chose not to enter this one.

This was my first night painting, which I called Almont Night Watch. I like the wild brush work of these first three paintings, but especially in this painting.

This painting called River View has aspects that I like but is more tight than the others and leans more to the sweet than I wish. I entered it as well.
On my personal blog, Art thoughts with Judith Reidy, I have included paintings from
the other Plein Aire Event in June in Cedarburg, Wisconsin
and
paintings I did outside in my yard this summer.
